By now, America should be starving for shows like This Is Us.
As we find out on This Is Us Season 1 Episode 1, it's a drama about family. They have their issues and we're introduced to them one by one in such a way that even though we don't know the entirety of the family dynamic, we want to know more. At least I do.
The characters are interesting and well fleshed out in a very limited period of time. There are some exceptions, of course, but there is only so much you can do in 40 minutes. Yes, that hook at the end was what I loved the best. I was surprised and I just grinned from ear to ear. It was great and that's why I have to keep watching
