Hard Target 2 is essentially a rehash of the first movie, which itself was yet another take on Richard Connell’s famed Most Dangerous Game story. It’s standard DTV fare, but still fairly entertaining thanks to Scott Adkins. Adkins isn’t a great actor, but he is a fantastic martial artist and thankfully the role here doesn’t require much from him aside from running around the jungle and kicking people in the face. (Any scene in which he has to emote, such as the lame romantic subplot, are a chore.)
