FGE - When video game studios delve into movies, the magic of the games is often watered-down by generic Hollywood formulas. Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is no exception. While the film is a spectacle of impressive visuals and superb music, everything else feels familiar. Too familiar. Instead of using their own unique creativity, the creators went with common film tropes as the foundation for the feature-length prequel to Final Fantasy XV. The high-profile voice actors and elaborate actions scenes only do so much to hide the film’s glaring issues. While the film is a spectacle of impressive visuals and superb music, everything else feels familiar. Too familiar.
