Ben-Hur Review - Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls: Although it seems like heresy to remake the 1959 film, this new version of the sword and sandals epic is closer to Lew Wallace’s original novel in the way events unfold; more importantly, it’s closer to the novel in its leaning to the side of forgiveness, rather than revenge.

And yes, it's hokey, but it will find an audience.

Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston) is the scion of an important Jewish family in Jerusalem. He has grown up with Messala (Toby Kebbell) a Roman adopted by his parents, and the two men consider themselves brothers.
