Fox 5: The first two films from that book were silent films made in 1907 and 1925. Charlton Heston’s 1959 classic is actually the third adaptation which was followed by a 2003 animated film featuring Heston’s voice. It is interesting to note that the 1959 film won 11 Academy Awards and is tied with “Titanic” and “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King” with the most Oscar wins in one ceremony.
