I'm tired of people complaining about everything when it comes to DC movies. When they were making BVS and had batman superman, WW, lex luthor, etc everyone exploded saying "oh noes, too many characters. they should make separate movies with each one. you cant have so many characters in one movie. bla blah blah"

now that they leave out green lantern, people are like, theres not enough justice league members. how could they leave out one of the founding ones. whats up with that..blah blah blah

its like they damned if they do and damned if they dont. theres just no winning.

Bruce knows about an impending attack on humanity. Why would he not go to the other meta-humans for help? Why would he not warn them and just assume they'd help when the time came!?!? Not very heroic just because you want a more quiet Batman! :/ And of course there are parallels between Bruce and Tony. Tony was heavily inspired by Bruce. Billionaire playboy philanthropists who uses their deceased father's company and riches in order to build suits and gadgets to rid their city of crime!! Hell they both have a butler named Jarvis for f--ks sake! xD And they are both in constant disagreement with the boyscout of the group, Superman/Captain America.

As for Green Lantern, Geoff Johns and Zack Snyder said Green Lantern needed to be done right and in order to do that they'd need to introduce him later on. They promised they'd treat him with respect and like an equal to both Superman and Batman and not the way he was treated in the Ryan Reynolds movie. While Green Lantern/Hal Jordan is an absolute favorite of mine and I would love to see him here I'm just glad they are taking their approach with him serious and aren't just gonna cram him in!

isnt' that part of what all the complaints about BvS were? it's not light enough? not enough levity? less dreariness? stop being so serious?

i guess they can't win. they do things their own way and it's all "why aren't you more fun and like the marvel movies". now they try to lighten things up and it's all "why you so much like the marvel movies".

haha yup..it's almost like WB don't have faith in Zack Snyder's 'grim n gritty' take on everything....thank god for that. I'm not against a superhero film light on humor in the slightest, but Snyder's stuff is also so juvenile & angsty, like it was written by a pubescent high school boy who hasn't been laid yet.

I'm not sure how I feel about this though...parts of it seem to be on the right track, I like the way that Bruce is forming the team & all, but Ezra's Flash felt really similar to Eisenberg's Lex in terms of that snarky "this is the way the kids talk now" way. Wasn't a fan of him in that small dose but maybe it plays better in long form. Cyborg's outfit looked pretty hokey at this point but I'd assume more effects work could fix that.

If this new tone is forced & ends up feeling that way I'm not sure if that'd be much better than what we got w/ BvS. I'm gonna be firmly in the 'wait & see' camp myself, but if JL ends up anything like BvS it'll be the last Snyder film I ever pay to see in theaters, and potentially the last DC flick entirely if they keep him entrenched. Just haven't liked anything the dude has done aside from his Dawn of the Dead remake. Warners & DC were fools for ever letting George Miller get away, that dude could've done something special for a JL film, horrible cast for his version notwithstanding.
