GR | 'Game of Thrones: The Winds of Winter' Review

GamesRadar

This was the episode where everything came full circle. After the breathless violence of last week, the finale of Game of Thrones season 6 delivered a different sort of tension. The first five minutes were unbearable - it felt like the suit-up sequence in a Marvel movie, similar in scale and ambition, but with entire dynasties on the line. It was incredible TV.We were spared a tedious trial.

Could not have asked for a better finale, they tied so many strings together in a beautifully orchestrated package. Just brilliant.

I feel bad for cersei, everything she did was for her children, now she's gonna be the villain next season. I hope she gets revenge on the sand snake for killing her daughter.

At the tower of joy scene, I was not shocked at all about Jon birth. That was very much expected, but I was hoping that lyanna gave birth to twin boys - Jon and Ramsay. That would of been a great twist.

And what's up with varys teleporting lmao

I felt bad for Cersei too, but then I realized how much I wanted this during the first few seasons. What she did to Ned Stark, and psychologically tortured Sansa and Arya, she deserved every bit of this, but somehow we still feel sorry for her. Just goes to show how this brilliant series messes with your head.

I think Jon and Ramsay being twins would be a farr reach though. It wouldn't make any sense since the Boltons were not involved with any of that.

But varys teleporting tripped me out too lol, along with Arya. How the hell did she make it there from Braavos so fast, after being stabbed.

Yeah I instantly thought how he got back from Dorne so fast. I couldn't tell but was Dornes army with that fleet of ships? May be they gave him a lift lol

I had to look up that ned/baby scene as I didnt understand what was going on. That was Neds sister right? So Jon is a Stark after all and not a bastard but also a Targarean as he's the son of The Mad King.

ReelKid2851d ago

...Not the mad king but close.

AJ Hartley2851d ago

Rhaegar targareyan is the father, danearys older brother the son of the mad King.
He kidnapped lyanna stark, but some say they were in love she asks ed to keep it a secret or Robert baratheon would have Jon killed as he is the true air to the throne.

dota2champion2851d ago

jon is still a bastard since he was born out of wedlock

Cersei could have raised Joffrey to be a better person. Cersei could have not given the High Sparrow so much political power and influence that he became such an issue. It is true that she was forced into a marriage she did not want and Tywin was going to marry her off to Loras (again something she did not want). But she deserves all the naughty things that happen to her. She has been the villain from day 1 and not season 6 finale.
