IGN: Jim Beaver (yaaay!) returned as Bobby this week - in the flashback flesh and not as a ghost - for "Safe House." A "layup" monster hunt episode with a nice gimmick, but little to add to the seasonal arc.
There was a mystery involved with the particular entity being hunted, and an interesting parallel timeline format, but mostly this one just sort of coddled us before the Season 11 endgame involving the defeat of the Darkness and the rescuing of Cass. Though with Bobby and Rufus (Steven Williams, back as well) spouting off about the "oldest rule" so much in this one, I do wonder if the boys will be able to save who they intend on saving. Plus, both Bobby and Dean saw Sam dead in the interdimentional "nest" place. So that was more than just a little ominous.
Dinner with the Parents Review: It's a family comedy series following the Langers, who often turn their family dinners into a disruptively chaotic affair.
Bros Review: The series, as the title suggests, is about two adult men who want to behave like children and we are not here for that.
Going Home With Tyler Cameron Review: This is a simple, no-nonsense but cliched watch, with Cameron's boyish charms taking centre stage.
That was the first good hunting episode in years. Interesting monster, compelling story genuinely creepy tone. That was a really good episode. I'm stunned.
