Depicting the dramatic rise — and in one case, the tragic fall — of the California rappers, Straight Outta Compton is by no means an exhaustively thorough biopic, but its nonetheless riveting, and it captures the spirit of N.W.A with startling authenticity. The film may have been majorly overlooked during this year's Oscar nominations announcement, but it shouldn't be missed on Blu-ray.
