Why Krysten Ritter Hated the Jessica Jones Pitch

Vulture

Krysten Ritter’s life is about to change forever. Netflix’s much-anticipated noir series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, debuts today, in which Ritter plays the hard-drinking, trash-talking, no-bullshit private-eye protagonist. It’s a Marvel Cinematic Universe property, meaning Jessica technically occupies the same New York as Iron Man, Daredevil, and other costumed crusaders, but the show is quite light on superpowers — Jessica is very strong and can jump pretty high, and that’s about it. Nevertheless: This is Marvel. Ritter is a Marvel hero now. There’s no going back.

Sure glad she landed the part. She owns this show as much as David Tennant does. Jessica Jones may already be better than Daredevil by this point, and Daredevil was my favorite Marvel thing period this year, even over Age of Ultron.

Age of Ultron was a big disapointment for me, But Jessica Jones has been a pleasant surprise, Krysten is great in her role and Tennant plays the perfect villain.

Another Marvel lous series <ok>
