Jason Todd – who was the second Robin – was violently killed by the Joker in writer Jim Starlin and artist Jim Aparo’s comic Batman: A Death in the Family. The storyline was published in the late ’80s and Robin’s fate was determined by fan votes. The second Boy Wonder – Dick Grayson was the first – remained deceased for decades; however, in 2005, writer Judd Winick and artists Doug Mahnke, Eric Battle, and Shane Davis revealed how Jason Todd would not only return from the grave, but also take on a new identity: the Red Hood.

A private screening of Batman V Superman was reportedly such a success, Warner is now planning three Batman films starring Ben Affleck...
Warner Bros clearly has big plans for its growing DC movie universe, with next year's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad to be followed by Justice League, Wonder Woman and Aquaman. There's also the small matter of Ben Affleck's stand-alone Batman film, which he'll write and direct.
BvS early screening got a standing ovation!? Awesome sauce!! :0 Good news there. More Batman is always good! But please bump Green Lantern down a few years. He's one of my faves and waiting till 2020 kinda blows.
We'll see
Lot of films have gotten standing ovations or massive amounts of high praise in previews which don't end up meeting expectations in the end.
Iron Man 3, Green Lantern and even Man of Steel.
What worth pointing out is they not only liked the movie, but they liked Affleck as Batman. I wonder if he got this deal does that mean at least one of them will be directed by him too? I know he wanted to do that in the first place.

Ben Affleck isn’t just Batman. He’s also the man behind Batman, according to reports that the Oscar-winning filmmaker will step behind the lens for the Caped Crusader’s next solo film.
Here’s the scoop: Affleck is supposedly starring in, directing and co-writing the next “Batman” movie, with DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns joining in on writing duties. That’s an all-star team-up for fans, and it’s one that presents Affleck with a whole lot of possibilities.
Affleck directing and writing the next “Batman” movie remains unconfirmed for now, but in case it does happen, here are a few story ideas for the Batfleck to ponder:
I would love something based off The Killing Joke but that probably wouldn't happen.
