Now Bridge of Spies can be added to that esteemed list of historical epic visualized by one of, if not the best, directors of our generation. Like other Steven Spielberg’s historical drama before it, Bridge of Spies depicts a famous historical event based on a true story, brought from lens to the big screen with terrific craftsmanship and heart-wrenching storytelling via an impeccable script by Matt Charman and the Coen brothers.

I meant to see this movie this weekend but ended up seeing Crimson Peak instead for Halloween. I think I made the appropriate holiday choice, but boy do I love me a Spielberg period piece.
