It's beautiful

I'm still puzzled though that Luke is still missing, don't say he's only going to be in it for like 10 or so minutes.

Seems like the Force and Jedis are looked at now as old legends.

HAMM3RofBUDDHA3105d ago

My thoughts exactly, it's like they're myths now. It almost appears that Han will lead the new heroes to Luke somehow?

-Foxtrot3105d ago

That's what I'm thinking, I hope Rey turns to the darkside in some sort of twist.

Having to see Finn fight someone he's grown close to would be interesting than the typical fall in love story like Han and Leia.

luke is behind the mask and has turned again

Luke is who reaches for R2-D2. Robot hand...

"don't say he's only going to be in it for like 10 or so minutes."

Lol Why would anybody think that? It's obvious his role to so important that they had to leave him out so as not to spoil anything.

snowbearder3105d ago

There were rumors that Hamill isn't in the film very long. While he surely has an important role, it might not be long-lasting.

'Seems like the Force and Jedis are looked at now as old legends.'

It would not be the first time. Remember in a New Hope, during a meeting in the Death Star, Darth Vader was told: 'Don't try to try frighten us with your sorceror's ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient religion.'

Or when Han first met Obi Wan and Luke he was ignorant to the force and the idea of using a light saber as opposed to a gun was moronic to him.

At this point in the SW's universe the clone wars had only been over for about twenty years. Yet the ways of the Jedi, Sith, the force etc had already begun to slip from peoples minds.

In the grand scheme of things, even before the fall of the Republic, the Sith were already seen as the stuff of legends. And when it came to Jedis, many in the universe had never encountered one.

The EU had us believe that Luke restored the Jedi order on Coruscant after Endor, well it appears that JJ threw that idea out the window...

Who do you think is kneeling next to R2D2? :)

snowbearder3104d ago (Edited 3104d ago )

gotta be luke, right??

They are saving Luke for the next trailer right before the launch of the movie.

Seeing Luke is the ultimate final hype build up right before the release of the movie.

I have to say that was underwhelming to me.. I just can't put my finger on it but something was missing, what though.. IDK. But something is.

The CGI is overwhelming as well.. it looks like CGI (clean, sharp, sterile)

I hope they release a second longer trailer soon.. maybe that one will sway me.

Eyesoftheraven3104d ago

You must be fun at parties!Sheeesh.

starchild3104d ago

I can't agree. I think the CGI looked quite natural. The parts shown in the trailer have a nice look.

I'm actually really excited for Star Wars again.

HAMM3RofBUDDHA3105d ago

What does everyone think of the scene with Poe and Kylo Ren? The one where he's almost kneeling in front of Kylo.

3-4-53104d ago

Looks like he's captured and Kylo is using the force on him.

My guess is Kylo captures him and tries to get information from him or turn him against the others in some way using the force.

WizzroSupreme3105d ago

What a disappointment. Don't feel much for the new characters at all here. Oh well, probably not the final trailer.

Starscream863104d ago

Youre just sour you got suckered into paying $200 on eBay for an opening night ticket.

RJ920093104d ago

Luke is the bad guy I'm calling it now

scark923104d ago

I was thinking that, I hope it is not true though.

Soldierone3104d ago

In some of the books that follow up the movies, he does go to the dark side for a while, but I think he returns. So that'd be interesting to see.

aPerson3100d ago (Edited 3100d ago )

He's not. I don't know why this is still being speculated on at this point. Why would Luke be the villain?

Kylo Ren is unmasked at the end of the trailer and Serkis is playing his master, "Snoke".

Look up spoilers if you really want - Luke's role in the movie has already been spoiled, along with most of the movie.
