411 Mania - "'The Candidate’ is leagues ahead of the season premiere, providing some funny moments, great character development and some cool action. I am excited to see where Oliver’s mayoral dreams take him and want to see rebirth of Sara. Most importantly, they finally did something with Thea, instead of just teasing things that will eventually come. Certainly not the best of the series, but a nice stepping-stone for season four."
