Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter Reunite in ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ Set Photos

Collider:
Production is underway on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Paul W.S. Anderson’s conclusion to the massively successful Resident Evil franchise, and the cast has taken to social media to chronicle their last go-round on set. The film reunites series stars Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter as the ass-kicking heroines Alice and Claire Redfield. The pair will be joined by returning castmembers Wentworth Miller as Claire’s brother Chris, and Iain Glen‘s nefarious Dr. Issacs, as well as newcomers Shawn Roberts, Orange is the New Black breakout Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James, and Japanese model and personality, Rola.

For some reason it wouldn't let me save or embed the Instagram photos they had on here so

Ali Larter looks good. I wish these movies were just as good. :( Can't wait for the inevitable reboot.

Well, I wasn't into Zombies but a friend talked me into watching the first one and then the second one I liked them including the 3rd one too. After that they got a little too much like a game than a movie but I still go see them because my friend and I have a standing date to see each one that comes out just to compare them. I do like Alice and Jill but I wish they weren't fighting against each other.

I've always loved zombie related things. But man these RE movies have got to be the worst zombie related anything ever. There is no cohesive story whatsoever. No goal in the grand scheme of things besides survive. Every character is completely 2 dimensional. Literally not a single ounce of character development at all! :( Chris was turned into Micheal Schofield from Prison Break (literally), Claire became superpowered jumping 30 feet over the Executioner and landing halfway across the shower room in the 4th movie. And Jill was jealous of Alice the entirety of RE2 because Alice was saving more people than her! Dafuq!? :/ Nemesis was defeated in a punch off and Tyrant was defeated with a pun. Also why is Alice running from Umbrella?!? Because Umbrella wants to suck the cure out of her blood POSSIBLY killing her in the process?! Worst protagonist ever. Barry who is a family man was reduced to a gun toting maniac and Leon and Ada were utterly forgetful but HEY AT LEAST ADA LOOKED LIKE ADA.... It's sad when a game with pretty mediocre writers can get more across than Hollywood can. Uwe Boll admitted to making movies purely to avoid taxes or whatever and make a quick buck. I'm assuming Paul W.S Anderson and Milla Jovovich are doing the same.

The Walking Dead really raised the bar on what zombie stories can be. I hope a reboot can try and emulate that.

@Chicken

Which movie was the tyrant in? I don't recall. Nemesis was a badass in the game but they well and truly balls him up in the movie.

Aldous_Snow3129d ago

They're all crap but cannot help watching them when they're on, which is rarely, thankfully. The entire franchise has been butchered from start to finish. Hope this is really the last one.

Hold_It3129d ago (Edited 3129d ago )

@Aldous Wholeheartedly agreed. It sucks being a fan of the games and see that the series I love has been tarnished with Resident Evil 6, and a bunch of terrible "video game" movies.

It's a step above Micheal Bay but that doesn't say much, as these films are still mindless popcorn flick tier. That and Alice is just an overpowered gender bent Albert Wesker.

OT: I guess the guy holding the handgun up in the last picture is supposed to be Leon?

I know, I can't help watching either. I like The Walking Dead a lot though. Z Nation on the SyFy channel is awesome too. I wasn't sure how good that was going to be and I just love it. I has drama and humor and you never know what's going to happen next and this is one that doesn't hesitate to kill off their main characters either.

Porcelain_Chicken3128d ago

Tyrant was in the third one. The one in the desert. I forget the exact name of the movie. Extinction I believe.

Tzuno3129d ago

Another res movie that will suck, the first was awesome, after that pure bullshit.

SamPao3128d ago

well the third was awesome when I watched it back then. So I liked the first and the Third.

I though that last terrible one was the last one.
