“Hannibal” star Mads Mikkelsen is in early talks to play one of the villains in Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” opposite Benedict Cumberbatch, Variety has learned exclusively. While sources say no offer has been delivered, one is expected shortly. Marvel had no comment on Mikkelsen’s involvement.

He would have been a fantastic Baron Mordo then the guy we've gotten.
Especially when they wanted another villain. So why get the proper Doctor Strange villain played by a guy who looks nothing at all like him when you are adding another villain....surely they could have swapped the roles around.
Excellent actor so I'm pleased with this announcement.
