I'll say this first about True Detective's Season 2 finale, "Omega Station" - it was pretty long. That's not a complaint, just that the forty minute overrun here might be the most HBO has ever tacked onto a season finale in a while. Game of Thrones finales usually get an extra 10 to 15 minutes.
