20th Century Fox has officially unveiled the title to the Independence Day sequel, which is, Independence Day: Resurgence.
Boy, they weren't kidding when they said teaser..
lol, no kidding!
what's the release date? lol
Is there a Guinness for teaser trailers? because if there was one, this would win it hands down.
I think this should go under a new category called "title" trailer.
i have a feeling that this movie will suck. And nobody asked for a sequel
Im just wondering how much did earth technology evolve after the first attack??? or do they intend to show us the same planes from the firt movie??? Lol.
Firt movie lol.
humanity will use intelligent dinosaurs
They're baaaaccckkkk.........this time with Firewall protection......
Independence day: Kaspersky edition
It would be hilarious if the humans tried the same trick and then the camera cuts to the alien's monitor and an AVG anti-virus protection pop-up came on the screen and blocks the virus, then afterwards, it's actually just a trial version and the aliens had no way to pay for it so it doesn't do anything and the shields come down again. Then ID3! This time...the aliens have a FULL version! but it's actually a hacked version but unfortunately, it contains a virus already and again, brings the shields down.
I'd watch it. Has and "Airplane" vibe to it. Too bad Leslie Nielsen isn't around anymore. He'd be perfect for it.
Well at least it sounds better than 'Independence Day Forever' as it was known last year on Wikipedia, now I've just gotta google what Resurgence means...
I will admit that the idea of making an alien invasion movie set after the initial alien invasion is a novel approach but this just seems like it's 20 years too late.
They should make a movie about killzone, that would be more awesome. and a Independence day without Will Smith is not going to work...
I doubt aliens would wait 20 years to strike again, but hey- whatever. Will Smith will be dearly missed from this movie, and I am not a fan of little Hemsworth at all.
Worst teaser ever. They could have just put up a banner poster. Same thing.
...why is everyone teasing their movie 1+ year(s) before they even come out?
HYPE. One of the most terrible inventions of the 21st century.
Wait: Independence Day 2? So, the same shit is going to happen again on the American holiday of 4th of July, and i suppose Murica saves the world again? Fuck off, Hollywood. It's like doing a sequel to Titanic. Oh, wait...
Hollywood: "...We'll call it Independence Day: Insurgence!" Marketing: "But people will confuse it the Divergent series!" Hollywood "Don't give me problems, give me solutions!" Marketing: "Ooh, I've got it: Independence Day:Resurgence!" Hollywood: "Marketing, you're a genius!" Meanwhile in a parallel universe: Marketing: "We've thought of a title...Independence Day: Resurrection!" Hollywood: "Mmm, it needs to be fresh. Can we subtly imply that the aliens are a metaphor for terrorism?" Marketing: "Ok, how about: Independence Day: Resurgence!(?)" Hollywood: "Marketing, you're a genius!" I could go on...
