Richard of PopCults.com writes "Again, the story is good, but it is limited. Not so limited that it makes for a bad film; that is the farthest from what I mean – but it needed the help of the principle actors to really bring the film to life. The Confines is a very good directorial debut for Eytan Rockway and it shows that he has a great grasp of how to film a suspenseful film and utilize the talents of his cast, but I hope that for his next film he chooses a more fitting script to showcase his directorial talents. As it is though, I was entertained by The Confines and was even treated to a few genuine thrills. It’s a film I wouldn’t mind watching again and even trying to dissect a bit more of the story to truly understand those meanings in it."
