‘Jurassic World’ Takes It Talons To FX

Consider this a TV-rex amber alert: FX said today that it has snared worldwide TV rights to a little film that opened quietly this weekend. Jurassic World, which actually had the biggest worldwide debut in movie history, will air exclusively on FX and its sister outlets FXX and FXM. No word about when the dino fourquel starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will premiere on the airwaves, but it joins fellow 2015 blockbuster Furious 7 on the FX slate, which also includes such 2015 hits as Taken 3, Pitch Perfect 2 and Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Last year, FX Nets scooped TV rights to nearly two-thirds of the films that topped $100 million in box office. Among those were How To Train Your Dragon 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
