For a sequel the movie is fun, and filled to the brims with laughs that had many rolling on the floor. The dialogue is rich with one-liners that are executed at just the right moments, and some of the situational comedy is truly fun to watch. However it is the songs themselves that were my favorite quality of this movie. Pitch Perfect 2 spans the genre horizon and makes for quite a catch soundtrack. The covers of many popular songs put a fresh twist on things, and mashing them together during the performances further brought out the excitement of singing. They even managed to work a little comedy into some of the singing moments that were the funniest qualities of the movie in my opinion. And thank God they decided not to shove the same song down our throats. ten times in one movie. In addition, I can say that the less than two hour run time is always a plus in my book.
