IGN: SHIELD’s two-hour Season 2 finale was a huge one, with several notable deaths, character transformations and new dynamics set in motion.
So we’re getting the Secret Warriors, huh?! Or at least something akin to them, as Coulson is forming a new superpowered team, with Skye at the center. It’s a big move for SHIELD to make, essentially indicating they have decided yeah, it’s time to put a lot more superheroes in this show. The question is how much this will take over completely. SHIELD was originally pitched about normal people in a world of superheroes, but it looks like we might be getting some new characters in Season 2 fighting for screen time with our core group (Lincoln seems an obvious candidate for this team, huh?). But that’s a problem to be solved in the future, and this is certainly an exciting change.
