He's going to kill this role. I'm 100% sure of it. Can't actually wait to see and hear him in action.

"I need something that says "I'm the joker" over and over again..."

KellyKandy3269d ago

I hope he does well, but doesn't get into the role too much.

KingPin3269d ago

yawn...
everyone always saying he's going to kill it.

show me something to convince me. until then just stfu already.

Porcelain_Chicken3269d ago

You sound bitter. The article said Leto was committing to the role, didn't say anything about him killing it.

KingPin3269d ago

not bitter, just tired reading the same news over and over without seeing anything.

i said "everyone always says he's going to kill it" meaning previous articles from various websites, comments from various websites, and comments on this website.

im sure he will do a fantastic job, but enough with the talk already. websites should just publish news when they actually have more. until then let it rest.

Jared Leto is an excellent actor, I'm sure he'll do the Joker justice.

StarWarsFan3269d ago

I am pretty confident he'll outdo Heath Ledger. And if he does, can he get an Oscar for playing another Joker? That would be awesome.

deadpoolio3163269d ago

There is literally ZERO chance of that happening...The ONLY reason Ledger got an Oscar for The Dark Knight was because he died.....Had he of lived he wouldn't have even been nominated let alone won

Porcelain_Chicken3267d ago

Kind of offensive to a man who busted his ass trying to give us something special. Have you ever tried acting sir? Not an easy feat, not coming off as generic is even harder.

And no, he didn't get an Oscar because he died (You think they just hand those off to people out of sheer pity?) otherwise he would have gotten an Oscar for The imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus too which released alongside The Dark Knight.
