Oh god, that is psychotic as f--k! :O Feels very, New52. Not digging the tattoos though to be honest.

Crazay3283d ago

That's the biggest complaint I've heard so far. DOesn't bother me at all. I actually thought a picture of Marilyn Manson crossed my news feed before I realized what it was.

Porcelain_Chicken3283d ago

Does remind me a bit of MM lol. He looks psychotic as hell! Love that! But the tat that says 'Damaged' looks a bit silly lol. All in all the rest of the tats look alright. They'll more than likely always be covered anyways.

I love Jared Leto but what the f*** is that

Everything woukd look great if he got rid of the tattoos and silver looking teeth.

I mean the "deranged" one....the Joker wouldn't need a tatto to state the obvious he's a man kf action.

Get rid of the tattoos and replace the silver looking teeth with yellow stained ones.

Porcelain_Chicken3282d ago

Agreed. I just can't imagine him sitting in a chair patiently as he gets his tattoos. It says deranged? I thought it said damaged? Either way it looks like something a goth kid would get. I'd be ok with just the 'Haha's' and the smile ones on his forearms.

As for the teeth they aren't too bad. Makes it look like he's gotten quite the beating and received a few new cheap ones compliments of the Arkham Asylum hospital ward. I really need to see him in motion and with clothes to get my final thoughts in. Right now I'm not sure what to think.

". I just can't imagine him sitting in a chair patiently as he gets his tattoos "

That's what I've saw a few people say and you guys are exactly right. He looks too organized, they make him look like he's sat down and chose them carefully, thought about their meaning and shit....that's not the Joker.

"It says deranged? I thought it said damaged?"

Yeah it does, when I saw it I quickly looked at it while I was at work. Couldn't zoom in on phone. My mistake. I apologize. But my point still stands she shouldn't need to state the obvious.

"As for the teeth they aren't too bad. Makes it look like he's gotten quite the beating and received a few new cheap ones compliments of the Arkham Asylum hospital ward"

Yeah but I think one or two would of been okay, not the full set.

He seriously looks like a Marilyn Manson fan....or you know those henchmen in the Arkham City games, the ones in Jokers gang....yeah he looks like one of them.

I just want to state aswell that if anyone (or you might yourself) think that "they'll be covered up" I highly doubt they would waste their time on them if they are going to covered up for the majority of the film. They will use them.

Seems like they are trying too hard to one up Heath Ledger when it comes down to the way the Joker in general acts not really what he wears. I mean Nolans Universe was supposed to be grounded yet he didn't resort to designs like this.

RetrospectRealm3282d ago (Edited 3282d ago )

Joker wasn't always super psychotic. He was just a common mobster before he became the Joker, so it's entirely possible that he could've gotten say, prison tattoos.

I'm also curious why you consider this more grounded than Heath's Joker's look?

-Foxtrot3282d ago

@RetrospectRealm

"Joker wasn't always super psychotic. He was just a common mobster before he became the Joker, so it's entirely possible that he could've gotten say, prison tattoos". Anyway with it being the Joker I doubt by the time he got caught he would still have an sanity left within him, he would of been shipped straight off to Arkham, not prison

Yet they aren't shown in the comics, adding stuff in when it's not needed is silly. It's like you are doing it for the sake of it.

Plus since he's in the Suicide Squad this will be a long time after he was just a common mobster.

"I'm also curious why you consider this more grounded than Heath's Joker's look?

Because he looks like a Marilyn Manson die hard following him on tour.

Porcelain_Chicken3282d ago

Oh he'll be shirtless in a few scenes no doubt but I'm estimating he'll be covered up about 95% of the movie which I can live with. I mean how many times did we ever see him shirtless in every other movie. Or ever for that matter? We'll probably get a glance at him shirtless in a scene in Arkham (like we did with Bruce Wayne's scars in Batman Begins) and once he escapes we'll get a suited Joker and put the tats behind us. I'm just speculating so anyone's guess is as good as mine.

KingPin3282d ago

if they trying to one up ledgers joker with this, they already failing....remove the lame tats and the grill, put more into the mannerisms and acting of the joker. thats what made ledgers joker memorable, the voice, the acting, the tone, the laugh, the gestures.

SilentNegotiator3282d ago

"Joker wasn't always super psychotic. He was just a common mobster before he became the Joker"

In what story arc, age, multiverse, etc was that?

Whatever it was, everyone knows that the definitive origin is in Killing Joke. Spending time as a "common mobster" gives him too much chance to be desensitized to stuff. A moment of desperation, a tragic loss (well, TWO tragic losses, really), and chemical mutilation is what creates a character like the Joker.

RetrospectRealm3281d ago (Edited 3281d ago )

Mobsters get caught and go to jail for short periods of time all the time. It's entirely possible he would've served some time before turning into the Joker.

And to address the whole "I can't imagine Joker sitting down for a tattoo" argument: do you people assume he's always jumping up and down and laughing literally every second of the day? He's a human you know. He sleeps too. Lol

"they make him look like he's sat down and chose them carefully, thought about their meaning and shit....that's not the Joker."

Lmfao what? A smile, "damaged", a skull, and "HAHAHA" have SO MUCH meaning behind them. Lol

I don't like it. they should give him more makeup and add yellow rotten teeth

CaptainPunch3282d ago

I think he looks crazy, which is good.

dota2champion3282d ago

he looks like he wanted to let everyone know he's crazy by having lots of tats "Hey, it's the joker here. look at my tats, It means I'm crazy"

acemonkey3282d ago

crazy but not in a good way. Lil wayne + marylin manson + jason miller

this looks like shit. you could have kept him in his suit, maybe ganster him up a bit in attitude but not his looks. They thought lets add a bunch of jail house tats some grill and some crazy shit to make it modern time crazy. BS DC

CobraKai3282d ago

He's trying too hard. He has "damaged" tattooed on his forehead fer chrissakes. He's so obviously trying to be crazy that he doesn't look intimidating or psychotic at all. Just a like Hot Topic employee with an identity crisis... Ha. Identity Crisis.
