Hmmm.....I hear Joss is free now and well....something of a Wonder Woman fan.

I think he wouldn't want to be tied down with the way DC wants the film to be done.

I mean when he did the Avengers it kind of was his vision for it but judging from Joss's style I don't think he would want a more grounded version of the character. He's the kind of guy would want fun with the film.

Now a separate Wonder Woman film where he chooses the casting I could get behind

How much of The Avengers really was "his vision"? Edgar Wright wasn't allowed to deviate from the plan at all to give it his own spin. I'm sure Joss had some sort of guidelines.

To be honest I don't think he'd do it either. I don't think the casting necessarily has anything to do with him not taking a crack at it. It didn't when he was given a fully cast Avengers movie to direct. He's a professional and I highly doubt he'd throw a hissy fit over Gal without seeing her in action first.

You're forgetting though that Edgar Wright had his in development for 7-8 years. So at first he was allowed to do what he wanted but when the universe evolved they started to put things in place for him to follow which is why things fell apart.

On the other hand most of what Joss wanted got into the film judging by his interviews and comic con panels. He pretty much was the one to push the Universe in a new direction for Phase 2.

Casting isn't everything but he wouldn't just pick up a film which 1) Already has a plan laid out restricting him from he wants to do for a WW film and 2) An actress he didn't settle himself on, he probably has better actresses in mind.

I always thought Kevin Feige had the final say. If hes not happy then it doesnt happen. Thats the impression I get anyway

What the hell man. She directed my favorite episode of Breaking Bad.

Never a good sign when this starts happening. I'm curious if the restriction had to deal with the overall universe and not just the film itself?

I'd have to imagine WB is being real stingy with everything considering this is a big deal, a 10 year plan. Plus with what happened to Green Lantern.
