When compared to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, does DC have what it takes to compete with them? We explore why DC won't be able to compete with Marvel, why Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is still going to suck.
Anthracite Review: This Netflix thriller makes us go down several engaging roads and the twists and turns are delicious.
Stolen Review: Elle Márjá Eira makes an attempt at creating a story revolving Sámi people of Sweden.
Despite the lack of updates from Marvel Studios and Disney, Shang-Chi star Simu Liu says the sequel to the successful 2021 movie is still happening.
Just the name will tell you its going to suck!! Batman v Superman is the best they could come up with? Lazy buggers should be strung.
DC casting totally blows, Ben Afleck, Will Smith, The Rock, Gal Gadot, the one thats going to play supergirl.
I like Jared Leto but he alone cant make up for the pisspoor casting decisions. They should have went with relatively unknowns like the MCU when they started. Look at them now. Their casting has been spot on, with the exception of Dave Bautista as Drax
Will Smith wont stick around. He has a bigger ego than Iron man. The Rock sucked his way to the top and acts worse than he wrestles
It's the casting that's cheesed people off and that's not going to change from now on out. Unfortunately, it's probably Eisenberg's Luthor that's going to set people off the most, but Ben Affleck's Batman, dare I say it, could help ease the pain given Affleck's abilities.
i like his point number 2.
the high level set by marvel.
LMFAO - this guy clearly doesnt know what high level is.
iron man 2, iron man 3, thor were actually terrible movies.
even their best movie, captain america the winter soldier, was ok-ish IMO. it was fun (using the term loosely here for lack of a better word) to watch but forgettable about an hour after the movie ended.
Thank you, sometimes I feel as if we live in a world where Marvel can do no wrong - they've done plenty wrong. I would say a majority of their movies have been underwhelming. What's going to happen when they release another Thor: The Dark World, but they don't have a big name character to anchor the movie like Thor?
I also don't care for their approach at setting up an expanded universe. It doesnt feel cohesive at all, and it seems that the sole purpose of every movie is to promote the next movie coming up, with very little payoff for the fans.
As much as people want to accuse DC of copying Marvel, they are actually taking a drasrtically different approach by introducing all of their characters up front instead of franchising them to death.
The only bad thing so far is the casting choices. Will Smith doesn't fit, the others are big names just wanting to be attached to a big franchise.
Affleck will be great, he shows passion for it. Superman obviously will be fine. The others though. I liked Gal as WW until she pretty much admitted to not knowing anything about the comics. Studios should know by now, don't cast people that don't know about the comics....
