"Now, this week’s Gotham is not good, but it creates some interesting plot devices for the future. I do admit I liked the last few weeks, yet feared an episode like this would eventually happen: it fails because too many stories are thrown in, forcing ‘Welcome Back, Jim Gordon’ to feel like a rushed mess at times. Still, Gordon’s reality check and Fish’s badass moments provide enough highlights in what could have been a fairly forgettable night. Still, Flass is truly a more deserving villain than what the writers gave him."
