IGN: Having established the character in Captain America: The First Avenger, Hayley Atwell has become an ongoing presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peggy Carter via appearances in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and in her own Marvel One-Shot. It was that latter project, showing a bit of Peggy’s post-war life, leading up to the creation of SHIELD, that led to the new ABC TV series, Marvel’s Agent Carter. Debuting Tuesday, the eight-episode series -- which will begin with two back-to-back episodes -- follows Peggy as an SSR agent, who becomes involved in a conspiracy involving plans stolen from her friend Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper).
