7 Reasons We're 'Furious' About The New 'Star Trek' Director

MTV

Needless to say, we’re furious to see Lin as the new “Trek” director, and by furious, we mean pumped up, because his films are packed with humor and heart — and, above all, heart-racing, pulse-pounding adrenaline. If he can do for “Trek” what he did with the four “Fast & Furious” movies he directed, then Lin is about to take us on one big, bold, bumpy ride.

he may surprise us so why get ahead of ourselves? what star trek doesnt need though is over the top action that is far fetched. so we'll see. i just hope he's not trying to cater to the teenage crowd who seem to love the fast and furious movies, along with the transformer movies. he needs to keep the integrity of the star trek licence while also trying to appeal to a new generation of fans. jj did a great job doing that.

but just like anything on the internet people are overly negative about almost everything.

It is true, we don't know what kind of film he will make. His debut film was impressive (Better Luck Tomorrow, which was the first movie MTV films picked up).
