Sony Emails Reveal Studio Head Wants Idris Elba For The Next James Bond

The Daily Beast

Plenty of the Sony emails have focused on Sony’s prized horse—the James Bond franchise, including the 24th Bond flick Spectre, scheduled to hit theaters on November 6, 2015. Hopefully not

I love Idris but he's not Bond material.

It's it because he's black otherwise I don't see why he is not perfect.

Has Michael Fassbender been in a Bond film yet? He just has that 1960s Spy look to him that just fits the James Bond world. If he hasn't been in a Bond film, it's only a matter of time before he is. He's currently 37 years old so he can put some years into the role.

Idris Elba would be fine, but if they wait any longer he's going to miss the right age range. Idris Elba is already 42 (looking good!) and Daniel Craig (looking haggard!) is currently 46. So if they're going to make a move with a new Bond movie they better do it soon.

Sucks that this hack on Sony have bought out secrets. Oh well.

Yeah I would like to see Idris Elba as Bond. He will do great.
