EB's Matt Heywood writes, "Peter Jackson’s romp through Tolkien’s Middle-earth has come to an end with the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (TBotFA), and unless the Tolkien’s relinquish the movie rights for The Silmarillion, it is probably the last live-action Middle-earth film that will ever be released by the stout New Zealander. To some this may be a blessing, especially those who have panned Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy for being nothing more than a heartless cash grab, but for others, myself included, a journey we embarked on way back in 2001 has come to a close, which is both sad and exciting thanks to the undeniable effects this two trilogy franchise has had on our lives. Peter’s Hobbit trilogy may not have captured the same amount of magic that his LOTR trilogy did, but it’s still a symphony of movie making excellence that features a stellar cast, and an even better attention to detail, and while The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies has a bit of cheese and filler, it’s still a highly enjoyable conclusion to the world’s finest portrayal of Tolkien’s brilliant world on film."
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Nekki has announced that the forthcoming gun fu game, SPINE, will receive a movie adaptation to expand the franchise.
Thank goodness The Hobbit's finally over. Now maybe Jackson can make that Star Trek movie he's been dying to make.
