nDreams and Virtual View Productions to Explore VR Videogames and Movie Crossovers

While the videogame industry is the undoubted focus for the revival of virtual reality (VR) technology as the moment, many are also excited about its potential impact on movies. 360 degree movies have grown in popularity towards the end of 2014 with the release of the likes of Zero Point and 11:57, suggesting that VR has just a big a role in the future of cinema as it does videogames. A new partnership announced this week will be pair VR developer nDreams with VR filmmaker Virtual View Productions in order to capitalise on both of these forms of entertainment.

Troy Baker to Work on Virtual View Production’s VR Series

VRFocus- In the past VRFocus has reported on an intriguing new start-up company named Virtual View Productions. The company is working on 360 degree content to be viewed using virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays (HMD) such as the Oculus Rift. In the past it has announced American actor Lance Reddick is coming on board as both a seed investor and producer. Now it has been announced that Troy Baker, the voice actor known for a great number of roles including Joel in The Last of Us, will also be working with the company on its upcoming content.
