Who Makes More Money, Actors or Directors?

The often asked question for those pondering a career in the film industry is if there’s more money to be in front of the camera or is it more lucrative to be behind the camera. We often hear actors taking home big paychecks after working anywhere from six weeks to six months making a single movie. This is especially true for famous actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie who reportedly earn $20 million dollar for every picture. But these actors are considered exceptions to the rules because thousands of less known performers make less than 1% of that, if they’re lucky enough to even have an acting job that is.

Or what about actors who are directors? They get paid twice. Thrice if they're producers too like Brad Pitt and George Clooney usually are.
