Djimon Hounsou is in talks for the role of King Arthur’s mentor in Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow’s “Knights of the Round Table.”
Guy Ritchie is directing with Charlie Hunnam playing Arthur and Astrid Berges-Frisbey playing Guinevere. Jude Law is also in talks for the role of the villain.
Idris Elba was also up for the role, but when dates could not be figured out, the studio turned to Hounsou for the role described as a Merlin-esque figure who trains and mentors Arthur.
