WC: The Man of Steel sequel, Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, is set for a 2016 release.
It will signal the beginning of an expansion to the DC Cinematic Universe which – assuming it is successful enough to warrant continuing – will further expand with several more movies taking audiences up to 2020.
Suicide Squad (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), Justice League Part One (2017), The Flash (2018), Aquaman (2018), Shazam (2019), Justice League Part Two (2019), Cyborg (2020) and a Green Lantern reboot film (2020) are the intended follow-ups and, amidst a concurrent expansion to the more established Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans of DC will be hoping that there is enough interest for everything to go as planned.
