The CW Wants A Third DC Comics Show

Now that Arrow officially managed to kick off its third season with a shocking introductory episode, and The Flash managed to crush in the ratings against many of its opponents on Tuesday night, the CW has begun to think about expanding its comic book world. No, we’re not kidding. Warner Bros. TV, DC Entertainment and The CW are in talks to bring a third DC Comics character to the network.

Almost positive this has issues with the tags, but I'm not sure. I'll leave it to the mods.

Oh great what else will they change in a new DC comic show to fit the mainstream audience.

Marvel added an insane amount of humor to their movies to make em work. Stark is in his 50's and a comic relief in the movies. Thor is massively underpowered and no longer a God. Banner can control his rage when the plot demands it, Star Lord was change completely to a "Han Solo type" and Hank Pym is super old because , uh, reasons. Fox made the X-men matching leather-clad outfits...

AAAAAAAnd it all works! Just saying. You can figure out my point from here.

And if you can't there are literally 7000 incarnations of Batman, Spiderman, Wolverine, Superman etc. CW's Arrow and Flash are but 1 of those many Green Arrows and Flashes. Funny movie Stark is but 1 of the many Iron man incarnations. Pebble gargling Batman from TDK trilogy is BUT 1 of the thousands of Batman incarnations since he was created way back in 1939. In some incarnations these characters change, simple as that. Find one current incarnation that you love and enjoy it, ignore the ones you don't.

Nightwing! Wait, Titans show incoming. Uhm... honestly can't think of anything that could stand next to CW's Arrow and Flash.

Frankly, I’m surprised that no one has attempted to recreate the success of AMC’s Hell on Wheels by taking a crack at a Jonah Hex TV show. The failed movie is probably what is keeping people from really considering the idea, but if a capable showrunner (not CW, not Fox, no offense) and actor like say Thomas Jane, who wanted the part anyway were involved it could make for a great series. Jonah Hex being a Western it’s better suited for the long form story telling of TV than films.

People are speculating a Birds of Prey series which I'm all for. Would love a female orientated superhero show, it'd be a big draw for the female demographic too.

You already have Laurel and Huntress who will crossover with Arrow and Flash maybe, maybe ad Babs if she's not off limits, otherwise use Felicity, add a few B-C list female heroes and boom, you have an awesome show.

Either that or a Green Lantern show, but production costs would be insanely expensive.

Or The Question. Whatever happened to the proposed Hourman show?

Green Lantern show would required too many special effects.

Birds of Prey would be awesome!!! That's actually a good guess! The Question would be a good one too.

They suddenly went quiet about that Hourman show. Maybe it got canned in favor of Flash?

And yeah a Green Lantern show would be insanely expensive. No chance. x( Greg Berlanti already kinda screwed GL over once though lol.
