Scot Armstrong, writer on such R-rated feature blockbusters as Old School and The Hangover Part II, is taking on PG 1990 comedy Problem Child. NBC has put in development a single-camera comedy adaptation of the Universal Pictures/Imagine feature starring John Ritter and Amy Yasbeck as a couple conned into adopting a troubled seven-year boy who wreaks havoc in their lives and leaves a path of destruction anywhere he goes. Problem Child hails from Universal TV and Peter Traugott’s studio-based TBD Prods. Armstrong is executive producing with TBD’s Traugott and Rachel Kaplan.
