IGN:
Maybe you hadn't heard, but The Transporter got rebooted. And now we have your first look at it.
The Transporter Legacy sees actor Ed Skrein ("Daario Naharis" on the third season of Game of Thrones) taking over for Jason Statham. His cast mates include Ray Stevenson, Radivoje Bukvic, Gabriella Wright, Anatole Taubman and Tatiana Pajkovic.
Here's the official plot synopsis: "In the criminal underworld of France, Frank Martin (Ed Skrein - Game of Thrones) is known as The Transporter; the best driver and mercenary money can buy. Frank will deliver anything for a price. He abides by 3 simple rules: no names, no questions and no renegotiations.that is until he meets a mysterious and lethal femme fatale Anna (Loan Chabanol), leader of a group of deadly assailants.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
I don't know....won't be the same without Statham.
A big part of the appeal of this franchise has been Jason Statham. Despite the flaws of the sequels, he was always the highlight. He never faltered on his end. Seeing this new face, a relative unknown, diminishes quite a bit of appeal for me. I'm still willing to give it a chance, I'm just not hopeful of that extra bit of charm that Statham brought. I will say, I think the new actor looks better in the role than the actor they currently have in the TV version of The Transporter.
