Surprisingly enough, “Cymbeline” is a motion picture based on a William Shakespeare play titled “Cymbeline, King of Britain” or “The Tragedy of Cymbeline”. The film’s screenplay is written by Michael Almereyda, the man who is also behind the camera as the director of the film, telling the story of an epic battle between cops and drug dealers. Set in the corruption-riddled 21st century America, “Cymbeline” film is an original take on Shakespeare’s play – a modernization.
“Cymbeline” has quite the star-studded cast, starring Ethan Hawke, Milla Jovovich, Ed Harris and Dakota Johnson.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
