Justin Ludwig of Entertainment Buddha writes: "As I left the theater with a giant goofy smile and freshly refilled large soda, the gears started turning. What other movies would I love to see get a theatrical re-release and why is this not a regular thing? Ghostbusters earned $1.65 million from Friday through Sunday and a total of $2 million for the long Labor Day weekend. This was almost exactly on par with the 2012 IMAX re-release of Raiders of the Lost Ark that earned $1.6 million, so it’s not like these re-releases aren’t being attended especially with the fact that these are limited releases and, if they are like the theater I went to, are only on one screen for a few showtimes a day."
