Ronda Rousey Has No Love For Batman vs. Superman Casting: I Should Have Been Wonder Woman

MMA Mania

Now that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is a bona fide action star, soon to be seen in Expendables 3, among other Hollywood flicks, the "Rowdy" 135-pound titleholder wants to be the highest-grossing actor in the world.

Haha xDDD What a joke, she's one sentence away from saying "I didn't wanna be in your dumb movie anyways!" She has the Bruce Willis Ego after doing ONE big movie. Cute. Still trash talking another actress is pretty low.

On Ronda's topic: Dafuq does curling a weight have to do with ACTING like a mythological being? Diana gets her mystical powers from being half a Goddess not by doing a friggin pull-up. She's always had a slender frame and has never EVER had a blocky, muscle bound physique. That bull only appeared from the Gina Carano fans of the world. <--- That bit will get me some stealth disagrees lol.

Eh no. Just... no.

Lastly, you wrestler types are usually a void of emotions and screen presence. Cardboard cutouts basically. With Dwayne Johnson being the ONE exception. Stay out of my cb movies!

You didn't like Batista in GotG? I think he has the potential to be a fairly big deal.

Porcelain_Chicken3545d ago

Totally forgot about Bautista. You're right the dude had presence and wasn't as bad as i was expecting, acting-wise. If he picks & chooses wisely he can definitely go big!

thorstein3544d ago

I didn't even know who she was until you told me.

Lord_Sloth3544d ago

Actually WW is usually seen as being very well built but not to the point of throbbing veins and scaring away erections.

ATi_Elite3544d ago (Edited 3544d ago )

Rhonda you may be able to break arms but you CAN NOT ACT so shut up!

Besides No one knows who you are just ask Mayweather LOL

Gemma Arterton, Jessica Biel, or Paula Patton as Wonder Woman.

Urm...no

If they ever had a UFC fighter to play WW it would be Gina Carano.

Jyndal3544d ago

Yea. Gina even had something of the look back in American Gladiators. It could've worked.

-Foxtrot3544d ago

She's not the best actress but Gal Gadot isn't a good actress either

So at the end of the day I would of rather had the actress who looked like WW then one who doesn't.

Porcelain_Chicken3544d ago (Edited 3544d ago )

Gina is a void of artistic compromise. Can't act for squat even in a movie with Micheal Fassbender and Ewan Mcgregor she still appeared flat and lifeless. Channing friggin Tatum outshined her THAT is saying something, aaaaand they had to redub her voice because she just sucked that badly. Also she has zero box office draw and that is a fact.

Meanwhile Gadot is being hired by the John Hillcoats of the world. And apparently WB trusts her enough to let her lead her own WW franchise. Did I mention she can just gain the needed weight?

Which honestly sounds more promising? The one that got an incredible one in a lifetime chance and failed or the one that has yet to prove herself?

-Foxtrot3544d ago

@Porcelain_Chicken

Gal Gadot was totally lifeless in Fast and Furious 6 and other things she's been in

". Did I mention she can just gain the needed weight? "

Oh you mean like she's been trying to and in recent pictures she looks exactly the same as she did before she started. Some women like that just can't gain the weight and bulk up.

She was a bad casting choice, like most of the others in the film...end of.

Porcelain_Chicken3544d ago

Same old argument. *Sigh*. Why do i even bother.

I compared Carano's leading role in a movie filled with some of Hollywood's biggest A-listers like Micheal Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Micheal Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Micheal Angarano and directed by Steven Soderbergh.

And your rebuttal was how mediocre Gal was in a 10 minute role in a cheesy b-list action flick starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel directed by Justin Lin?... I love how you completely skipped and will continue to skip that Carano bit in my posts by the way.

And no. Gal doesn't look the same. You're kidding yourself if you still think she looks like she did in FF6. She actually has thighs now in that WW pic while her legs were the very definition of sticks in FF6. Is she still thin? Yes. But unlike Cavill, Bale, Affleck, Evans, and Hemsworth who had to get the physique of a friggin bodybuilder, Gal only has to pack on about 20-25 pounds and get very toned. A goal that is pretty do-able in 9 months with Gym Jones.

And I disagree with you, so there we go.

johny53544d ago (Edited 3544d ago )

She has a better acting resume then all others suggested and plays in action movies!

She's more beautiful then Ronda, Gina Carano or Gal Gadot!

Porcelain_Chicken3544d ago

Agreed that she is drop dead gorgeous and she's definitely a good pick :D sadly she's turned down the Wonder Woman role before. Back in 2007 so I guess they didn't even bother asking this time around. Snyder did well casting everyone in watchmen, 300, and man of steel (3 other comic book movies) so I'll trust that Gadot impressed at the audition.

WizzroSupreme3544d ago

I'd hate to say it, but she's probably right...

Ares84HU3544d ago

She is way too short and ugly and a horrible actress.
