JM: “What your favorite scary movie?”. With summer slowly coming to close Autumn is right around the corner, and what’s the Fall season without cold weather, beautiful brown trees, and of course – scary movies? Check out this list created by Junkie Monkey's write Chris on 6 horror movies he wants to sequels made for.
The horror genre is jam-packed with dumb characters who make even dumber decisions, especially at the expense of their own life or someone else's.
Find out all about the best Horror Franchises to binge on during Halloween 2023.
Some Horror movies about mothers just can't be forgotten. Why not cherish them this Mother's Day? Here's 8 Horror flicks with evil moms.
Dawn of the Dead, Jeepers Creepers and defiantly 28 Months Later.
Evil Dead 2 though....nope. I'd rather have Army of Darkness 2
28 Months Later absolutely. I've been waiting/hoping for that for a while.
Would love to see a sequel to Dawn of the Dead too. Have ever since that ending. Though, don't see that happening, since Snyder seems to be busy with DC for quite a while. And James Gunn may be busy with Marvel for a while given the success of Guardians of the Galaxy. Though, I guess one could argue that 28 Weeks Later went on without Boyle or Garland doing anything more than serving as executive producers.
By the way, wonder if the writer of this article realizes that Snyder was the director, not the producer.
The rest on this list I don't care about. I may watch a Jeepers Creepers sequel, but don't really care if it happens.
I am looking forward to a Tucker and Dale sequel though. Thankfully that's apparently being worked on.
On the topic of horror comedies, wouldn't mind a Zombieland 2 either. And I've always thought that ending of Shaun of the Dead would lend itself well to a sequel.
Also, I would absolutely love to see a sequel to Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.
Is there seriously anyone out there wanting a sequel to A Nightmare On Elm Street reboot? That film was TERRIBLE. Maybe because I absolutely loved the original films but the remake was bad on a completely new level. Trying to recapture iconic moments from the original that just completely and utterly failed combined with a poor casting choice for Freddie just made it into possibly one of my most hated horror films.
The rest of the list is good though and I'd personally add A Cabin in the woods to the list, if a sequel would even be possible.
The only one of these I'd like to see a new installment from is Jeepers Creepers.
Jeepers Creepers 2 was an abomination, but the first was an excellent monster flick that made a few poor decisions toward the end. So much potential if a new entry were treated properly.
I waited for Jeepers creepers 3 for years....
