Sam Raimi Talks The Last of Us, Maisie Williams Could Star

From Cinelinx:

We've know that The Last of Us is being turned into a movie, with Sam Raimi guiding the film as a producer, but that's about all we know. He could do it. The only thing I worry about, is the serious level of the film. He can do some great horror stuff (which you need with the clickers), and has good action, but often times he doesn't take his plots serious enough.

Well poo. Apparently there was miscommunication in getting the news to me from the panel. He denies he's directing the film, but still cool about Maisie!

I would prefer a Last Of Us tv series instead, but that would cost too much since the environment would have to look like I Am Legend.

Maisie Williams is perfect Ellie, Andrew Lincoln would also be perfect for Joel role

Oh man, that would make for an amazing series and it would potentially take shots at TWD!

The set wouldn't be that hard to make at all. They could find run down towns all over the place, and building them isn't that costly at all.
