Guess I shouldn't be surprised here, but it seems kind of silly. In a show where he's going to be fighting demons and featuring overtly religious material, smoking is what they have trouble with.

Why did NBC pick this up then, honestly I wish AMC did...look at all the smoking in Mad Men.
Seriously?!? Oh my god... You guys nail the look down to a T and most of his mannerisms but won't get his most simple and icon little habit right. I shoulda known it was too good to be true haha.
I'll probably still watch the show as i love Hellblazer and Justice League Dark and even liked the Keanu Reeves movie (to an extent) but i was hoping he'd be a walking around smoking like a chimney. I hope they find a their "workaround".
Yes, of all the things that are shown on TV, such as the extreme violence on Hannibal, smoking is the thing that should be banned.
Rape, murder and softcore porn are acceptable, smoking isn't.
