Him having hair doesn't bother me very much. His baldness could be considered iconic, but there's many variations on his character throughout the years and comics. Some versions of him had hair, some didn't. As long as he "feels" like Lex Luthor as a character, I could care less about whether or not he's bald.

Even if he was bald it wouldn't hide the fact that he won't be able Lex Luthor at all. This is judging him by every single role he's had

Eisenberg only has two roles he can play

The same old nerdy role (Adventure Land or Zombieland etc) where he's a bit of a good ball or screw up.

or

The cocky, arrogant dick (Now you see me, Social Network etc)

None of that screams Lex Luthor, Supermans most fearful opponent.

Then you have looks in general, he's like a scrawny kid, he doesn't look intimidating at all

Porcelain_Chicken3592d ago (Edited 3592d ago )

Sure the guy's been heavily type-cast in those roles but he might have more to him than that. And "The cocky, arrogant dick" is pretty much Lex. The guy was runner up to Joaquin Pheonix. Surely that's a good thing right?

And the intimidating thing should come from his actions not from his looks. Even if they got Cranston, Strong, or Pheonix, none of their Luthor's would cause Supes & Bats to wiss themselves at the bat of an eye (pun not intended). I think Jesse is a very oddball choice but i know enough about Lex, Snyder and judging actors prematurely to give the guy the benefit of doubt.

I don't mind him having hair either. So long as he loses it down the line. Due to Kryptonite exposure maybe?

Wouldn't mind if he had hair all the way through either. His bald look is iconic but it isn't central to his character.

DarkBlood3592d ago

Yeah and as far as we know kryptonite hasn't followed kal El so if that was a factor in him being bald it doesn't make sense for him to be in the upcoming film untill plot suggest otherwise

ironfist923591d ago

I wonder that if he does have hair, they make him going bald a plot point, as in many iterations its shown that over exposure to Kryptonite can cause cancer, of which Lex usually has plenty at hand and has been in contact with them for several years.
