22 Jump Street Directors Suggest Ant-Man Movie Should Be Abandoned

CB

Ever since Edgar Wright walked off Marvel’s Ant-Man film, fans have been wanting to know who will take over as the film’s director. Some have suggested that Phil Lord and Chris Miller, directors of 22 Jump Street and The LEGO Movie, would be a great choice because of their ability to balance humor and action. It’s a nice thought, but it turns out the duo wouldn’t touch the project if it were offered to them.

Oh I'm well aware there's a video attached to this - But I can't get to it from where I am

For now anyway. They really need to get Hank Pym in this though instead of Scott, he was a member of the Avengers, a founding member aswell why just skip over him completely. Yeah the story has changed and the founding Avengers we have are different but we should still see him come into the fold with Wasp

I think they should keep Paul Rudd although I wouldn't mind if they got Aaron Eckhart or Michael C Hall to play Hank instead.

I love Edgar Wright and I really wouldn't mind to see his version of Ant Man but I have to admit his idea sounded more like it would be better if the film was a stand alone film, like none of the other Marvel films had happened but unfortunately they have and he needs to keep in line with them

He's been in talks since 2006 so maybe he's still clinging to his 2006 idea instead of changing it to fit what the Marvel film universe has become in 2014. 8 years worth of stories he needs to think about.

Maybe Marvel has so much faith in Kevin Feige's vision, that they won't listen to anything other than what he has to say. I will admit that his track record has been, by all accounts, flawless but eventually that luck and vision has to run out. Perhaps we're seeing the start of some cracks in the Marvel armor?

When your at the top there's nowhere else but down

Biggest crack for me was Iron Man 3

How could he give the go ahead for the Mandarin and the silly use of the "Extremis" which wasn't even the same

See, there isn't a movie they've made that I didn't really enjoy. I have to figure the law of averages will catch up sooner or later and they're going to lay an egg but still,no matter what - it could be the biggest flaming turd, that they're still going to sell seats and merchandise so it really won't matter at the end of the day.

I didn't hate the way they did the Mandarin but from my understanding he's a pretty badass character so it would have been pretty sweet to see him continue to be as hardcore and badass as he was portrayed in the earlier parts of the movie.
