8CN: Godzilla arrives in theaters on May 16th. The reviews are in, and they're mostly good. Even the negative reviews can't bring themselves to really savage it. We've had plenty of clips, trailers and interviews to pour over and convince ourselves that the world really does need a big budget Godzilla movie. I'm convinced it does, but what is it the puts the "God" in Godzilla? How did I start down this contemplative path? What does Godzilla really mean? The nuclear age is still upon us, but the raw fear of mushroom cloud shaped destruction has largely faded.
