The second phase of the Marvel Movie Universe kicked off last year with Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, and it now continues to build Marvel lore in 2014 with the releases of Captain America: The Winter Soldier directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo.
Just like Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, The Winter Soldier picks up after the Battle of New York where Steve and the Avengers helped to save the world from Loki’s evil plot. Steve (Captain America) is still struggling to find his footing in a world that he doesn’t truly belong in while he continues to aid SHIELD in its quest to keep the world safe from atypical threats.
