Being the first feature length film in English for José Padilha, Robocop adds on to a list of remade films of this current film era. The film is set in a near future that follows detective Alex Murphy (portrayed by Joel Kinnaman) who is injured from gang-hit explosion that in turn transforms him into the titular character, Robocop.
