Acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has released the first teaser for his upcoming television show The Strain, which is set to air on the FX Network this July.
The 30-second teaser shows the New York City skyline darken as an eclipse quickly blocks out all the light. “He is here” is then quickly flashed on screen, foreshadowing things to come. The Strain is based on the novel series written by del Toro and Chuck Hogan and follows a viral outbreak of vampirism that hits New York City.
